VA Credit Card change: website withdrawn

Hi

I'm an additional cardholder on my partner's VA Reward+ Credit Card. They emailed us recently to say they're withdrawing website support and will be going app-only, but that additional cardholders won't be able to use the app. We double-checked with them and they confirmed this was the case, and that I'll effectively be locked out of the account. I can request a new PIN if I need one, by phone I guess, which would be posted to me. It's hardly a secure way to provide support to additional cardholders, and the whole change in general is a pain because I'm the one who downloads the statements and keeps an eye out for fraud, etc.

I hadn't seen any comments about this on here, so thought I'd flag it up in case it affects anyone else.

We don't want an app-only card; we're not at all tech-phobic (we're more early than late adopters) but we both find it easier to manage an account on a website and use the app for simple things. Given that we're not getting much benefit from the card at the moment this is probably the trigger to either downgrade or cancel when the year's up.

So, we're now looking for a different UK Mastercard or Visa that offers rewards, to supplement my BA Amex. I suppose a Tesco credit card would allow VA points to be acquired via Tesco Clubcard points, if we need any.
