Current long term stay at Hyatt resort with Pharmcopia brand bathroom products. Shampoo/conditioner in bulk containers that are protected with keyed entry. Soaps made in Canada. Shampoo not identified on label. Seven months in a Courtyard this year. Paul Mitchell individual bottles made in Canada. Both hotels still buy decent quality Kleenex and Cottonelle. To me, it says a lot about hotel management. I've checked the hotel supply sites for pricing on these products. The difference between passable quality and hardly passable is nothing but insulting to paying hotel guests.
There can be regional differences to where things are sourced from. Here is a picture of a Le Labo soap from the Park Hyatt Niseko.

You'll notice where this is coming from. Seemingly only the shampoo was from Malaysia. (sorry for the slightly out of focus picture, but I am sure you get the important parts)
