Well, what I am saying is if you rent from Budget, and you drive less than 75 miles, expect to be hit with the fuel surcharge automatically unless you provide a receipt of gas purchase. If you don't say anything, you can expect your bill to be at least $20 more than what you had on your rental agreement.
If you are concerned about returning at busy times, then rent with the others like National, Enterprise, Avis, Hertz and Dollar, who don't have this automatic fuel billing pollicy for rental driven less then 75 miles.
