Meijer is also rolling out a system where you can scan everything with your phone as you shop, then scan one code at self-checkout to pay. One location has special lanes for this that aren't operational yet (mx915s for payments like everywhere else).
Is this available at all stores or just pilot locations? I don't know the next time I'll be back home to check this out, but I can report back.
I'm not certain this has much of an advantage over a normal checkout if you still have to stop by the register.
