I wouldn't waste your money. Getting you through the connection is QR's job. You are unlikely to be the only Male-bound passengers on the flight from London; and I'm guessing the airline would pull out all the stops to see 5++ passengers safely on their connecting flight - if for no other reason than the chunky £500+ a head compensation they'd likely have to pay for a significantly delayed arrival.
If the London flight is horribly delayed, so that the Male flight couldn't be held for you, then al Maha wouldn't have been able to save the day either.
Thanks Ian - that was just the sort of sensible advice I was looking for and you make a good point - I'll save the dosh. Looks like the MLE flight leaves from E23 (or has done every day for the last week. Any info on which gate Q0008 tends to arrive?
