My last stay here was a little over a year ago for a quick overnight and wrote a small review here (in Dutch). Hotel had good Hilton Gold recognition. Room was a bit cramped though. Mall of the Emirates is close by but it will depend on construction in the neighborhood if you need to take a detour when walking.
To be honest, I prefer the HGI MoE over the DoubleTree al Barsha. It's more modern, has larger rooms and is closer to the mall.
