Geez, I haven’t been that kitty-clawed (no offense to cats) in quite a while…being a weekend, there were only about 6 other folks in the entire lounge, so it wasn’t even a function of overcrowding. Wonder if they’re trying to discourage AA folks now that B is closed…has anyone else gotten the royal treatment or should I take this personally??
I'm sure it was EXACTLY the same BA-itch (you know the word I mean, and I almost used it on her) who did the EXACT SAME THING with my credentials and the laminated list.
Until reading this, I thought she just was unfamiliar, as she studied and studied that listing. Thing was, I could see it. I could see the EMERALD emblem on my card and the EMERALD emblem on her list: pretty easy!
But she still studied and compared. And studied some more.
NOW I UNDERSTAND... it was a stall, buying time, as she thought and thought of a reason to deny access! I was outbound int'l, so my situation was different than the OP's. And in my impatience, I responded to her mutterings: "OF COURSE I have access!" Then quoted the rules. She stiffened up and didn't need the laminated card with rules to remind me that she could always deny me based upon capacity of the lounge. Thankfully it was a time of day when the lounge was not busy.
I got in. Did you, dispite the "preference" as to where you wait?
