I should add that I read on another post that if you have an infant and the carseat is not rear facing (e.g., doesn't fit that way) that you may be asked to hold the infant in arms for takeoff and landing... can't find confirmation on Delta's website, but would seem to make sense since the seat is designed to be used rear facing for young infants.
