For me, flying first is a matter of privacy and doing something that I cannot do when on the ground......turn my beeper off! When I slip into those BA pajamas, get a diet coke, and chooses my own video entertainment I am in heaven. Food is very important but the grand feeling of BA first suites is great. Cant wait to take my wife on a BA first flight in the near future. </font>
Agreed completely and thank G-D those in-seat telephones don't take incoming calls...
As for the food on board... it is an issue for me. I don't expect a gourmet meal at 30k feet but neither do I want to eat grisly chicken thigh meat (as was recently served to me on LHR-CPT as part of an ostensibly Indian dish). Sometimes I don't have a chance to eat before I get on a flight (and sometimes I'm on a mileage run and the only meals I take are on flights!) and would prefer to see the menu selections simplified rather than the quality dropped.
