One point about size, in some locations the size does indeed matter. A knife of a certain size, concealed is chargeable as a concealed weapon. Here in NC, if a knife is over a certain size (although the size is open to some interpretation), and not worn in public view (like on a belt or hooked on the outside of a pocket), it can be charged as a concealed weapon. These rules are showing up more often now (speaking to sizing laws). It stands to reason that we will see some increase in stories about knives being a subject of some discussion, some of us have been carrying a knife in our pocket since our first Hawkbill (obtained at the age of 6).

I am not exactly certain what happened here. I read this and it appears that Boggie has actually agreed that TSA was (at least somewhat) in the right, am I correct on that?

Completely unrelated question, which one of you spiked my soda at lunch?

I agree to the extent that TSA rules prohibit knives. I think a good discussion could be framed around if this restriction is to stringent. I do recall a move by TSA to change the total ban on sharps some years back that was poorly received by some segments of the airline business.

It appears to me, based on the information at hand, that she intentionally attempted to take a knife through security. I'm not sure if law enforcement needed to be involved.
