this is probably the most significant reason ... the layout of T2 and T3 (basically all gates accessible from the main apron/taxiway) is much more conducive to quick operations, as opposed to T6 where jets departing from the gates along the pier often have to wait for two or three other jets to clear the alley ... it's also a much shorter taxi from T2/T3 for a 24L departure than it is from T6 for a 25R departure
