If you are either a low spender or low flyer the no fee card makes sense. Get the other one for the bonuses but after the first year you need to spend a decent amount or fly a decent amount to get your $95 fee back. Flyertalkers i think are more the type for the $95 card but the average joe the no annual fee is probably alot more popular then people on here realize.
Now that bag fees are $30 for the first checked bag, the $95 card makes sense for an individual taking two roundtrips a year with a checked bag or a couple taking one roundtrip a year together.
The no-AF product is likely popular in a different market segment, but they definitely push the $95 cards much more so I would expect more people to have them.
