A little extra padding for on-time performance. With on-time departure or even a minor delayed pushback, AS is usually early unless they are on ATC hold for a specific slot. On my Moisant Stock Yard (MSY) -SEA flight yesterday, we pushed back 14 minutes early and landed 66 minutes early due to favourable conditions and light headwinds. Of course, the skies aren't congested right now.
