So I am gold and yes I agree that generally this 2x points upgrade is generally not worth it from a dollar value perspective, but being within 3 nights from lifetime diamond elite (if I keep the account open) and it being 4 more points per dollar than I expected I feel like the $29 charge was justified in this particular situation, just personally.
