My question is more: If 29 minutes in under the MCT, I can contact UA and modify the reservation without incurring any fees. If not, need to have a plan B for a missed connection because of a delay departing out of YUL. In January... which is quite likely.

I'm sur there,s a later flight and I'll be protected. Just want to know if I can seek other options.
