Yes. If booking a package the tour operator (AA or Hotels. Com) will add the per person fee to the prepaid reservation. Ie. Changing it from a single to a double.
what you did is smart. Now hopefully u won’t have an issue as the prepayment will be for 1 person and your reservation will indicate 2. So wonder if the hotel will try to charge you the double rate.
remember this is all a prepaid package vs a simple reservation so it’s a little harder and your are dealing with 3-4 entities in the whole transaction

You can't do this online, so I called up to ask how to do this, if I book would they be able to add somebody. They came back and told me that the hotel charges for extra person (1 vs 2). Went to hotels website and there is no difference. Seems odd. Just b/c of the package?
