Paid a second visit last Saturday. Lounge was open 16-20h, with the characteristic lounge drinks available, as in bygone times. Called in Friday night for the lounge status, at that time they were still in the process of deciding if the lounge would open or not - but it appears the hotel occupancy rate was better than expected. These days many people book a hotelroom for the weekend, because all regular restaurants are still closed, maybe even until after Xmas. The only way of being able to visit a restaurant is as a hotel guest. On Sunday morning the lounge was open for breakfast. In the restaurant they are doing an early shift 17:30-20:00h and a late shift 20:00-22:00h (final entry at 21h). The second shift is without alcoholic drinks. It's a pretty good restaurant for a hotel. The Michelin-star Joelia-restaurant is still closed (except for take-out reservations, made a night before) and I think the Hilton Rotterdam unique Indonesian style floor/restaurant concept also doesn't operate at the moment. Was upgraded to an Executive level jr. suite. Although the sale of alcoholic drinks in the country is still prohibited after 20:00h, the mini bar had a small supply of these: beers, spirits and soft drinks, available all night. Was charged 1.50 for a can of soda, I believe the beer is also only 1.50.
