Two tickets ORD-EWR and EWR-BCN significant less expensive than one ORD-EWR-BCN
I am finding that buying two United Business tickets, ORD-EWR (one ticket) and EWR-BCN (2nd ticket) is significantly less expensive than a single connecting ticket ORD-EWR-BCN. The difference is over $1000 pp. Flying in October.
In these days of flexible change and cancel policies is there any reason that I should not buy two different same day tickets on United? I should be able to check my luggage all the way, even on the two tickets, correct?
I tried a search, but please feel free to direct me to the proper thread for the answers.
Thank you.
