I’m currently at the new RI in Merida, Yucatán, Mexico, and hot breakfast served by staff has been happening since some time in October. Scrambled eggs with “stuff”, egg whites usually with spinach,, two meats and two from the set of potatoes, beans and chilaquiles. Four or five kinds of cut fresh fruit, some cold cuts/cheese, yogurt/parfait toxins, assorted pan dulce, bagels, etc. Fantastic spread.
The only glitch in the matrix is an imperious employee that gets unhappy when I take breakfast back to my suite - there’s no outdoor dining space and I don’t remove my mask in “shared air”. Still, a definite local flavor to breakfast.
