Flight numbering / marketing does not matter.

Possible but can be tricky if back to back flights. Best to have the first flight credit before taking the second flight and changing after the first fight has credited.
How would one even do it? I know some people will advise against it, but I just want to know how would I even begin to do that if I want to. Often, my layovers would be less than 4 hours with UA. Is that even enough time to make a call or ask at a UC?
