For the future, I will fly frequently from Switzerland to Asia, on whatever is the cheapest by "reasonable" economy flight.
Once a year, my family will fly to Australia on the cheapest "reasonable" economy tickets.
Any recommendation would be appreciated.

Cheapest "reasonable" ticket may change year to year or by destination. Or an non aligned airline like EK or EY
For the "fly frequently from Switzerland to Asia" will this be a corporate gig? The business may have preferred airline

If starting afresh worth considering the other alliances?
Deciding on a Oneworld Frequent Flyer Program? Help is here.
Which ST program should I sign up for?

Not all airlines have a hard expiry, like SQ does
Probably better with a ffp that non expiring ff miles if an eligible activity.
