The system will not give us the option online to use the certificates for any reservation. So we called Marriott. Agent over the phone cannot attach them either. They tried to get their supervisor involved with no luck. They say that their supervisor will look into it and fix it but that has not happened.

This is pretty frustrating. It appears to be an issue with her certificates specifically. We want to use the free night for a category 7 hotel and 50k point nights are only offered during off peak. If this goes on much longer, the 50k point nights at the hotel will be gone.
1) If you have points in the same account, book them as one night stays on points, you will be able to swap later once things are fixed.
2) PM one of the Bonvoy lurkers, that's the most effective way of resolving things when front line folks can't help
