Having enjoyed the national and regional railpasses on dozens of visits over a couple decades, I would implore the OP not to go through with his plans. Yes, even the old paper-based rail passes were open to abuse, and the new machine-issued and -readable ones are ridiculously so. However, this kind of behavior can kill golden geese, and these rail passes are such amazing value for legitimate visitors, I'd hate to see them go.
