I hate the newer Recaro seats, too. I sure miss the old, squashy seats up front! Plus, the new seats seem to be shorter in depth, ie, less support under one's thighs. Gets uncomfortable for longer flights. (And the coach seats are ridiculously short--like perching on a bench.) All that said, Alaska is still my favorite US airline!
