The change should still be marked as involuntary, because the original delay wasn't your choice.

There is an AA flight from ORD to FNT departing at 8:55 AM tomorrow. They may not put you onto it
now, but it should have been an option for you. (You could still ask, of course). UA will rarely
look for OAL options, but they should be willing to put you onto an OAL flight when it's significantly more convenient than the UA option.

Read the credit card's fine print carefully. You may be required to prove that the airline wouldn't reimburse you.

I fly a ton so I'll be happy with even a $100 voucher to use later. In a stroke of bad luck, this is my third straight trip with a 4+ hour delay and 2nd in that stretch with a forced overnight. Last one had a 1245 original departure so this one hurts a bit more since I left at 0530 this morning.
$100 doesn't seem unreasonable.. and they might be willing to cover your hotel bill anyway, or at least at the amount that they would have paid the Hilton.
