There is an AA flight from ORD to FNT departing at 8:55 AM tomorrow. They may not put you onto it now, but it should have been an option for you. (You could still ask, of course). UA will rarely look for OAL options, but they should be willing to put you onto an OAL flight when it's significantly more convenient than the UA option.

Read the credit card's fine print carefully. You may be required to prove that the airline wouldn't reimburse you.

$100 doesn't seem unreasonable.. and they might be willing to cover your hotel bill anyway, or at least at the amount that they would have paid the Hilton.
