All they kept repeating was ala carte and a choice of points if I qualify. LOL. I asked about an upgrade, they said if I qualify when I arrive. lol I got nowhere with them. I guess I'll find out when I arrive. If I'm still a platinium member then (roll eyes). And also, all covid restrictions have been fully lifted state wide there, so there should be a buffet and all other pre-covid19 offerings, and procedures. Will find out tomorrow when I arrive and post my results.
Quoting myself:
Well, I checked in. No upgrade due to a lack of availability, which I strongly doubt. This hotel is huge and plenty of rooms.
As of right now, the only thing good about this hotel is the city view of the mountain side.
The front desk clerk kept referring to me as. Gold member even though I corrected her in case she based the non-upgrade on that, but she had no clue.
I got nowhere with her about anything, so after the bellhop took me to my room and I put my belongings up, I went back to the front desk to find out the details of breakfast. At this time 3 clerk's were working the desk. I was told it's an American breakfast and that's it. It was like pulling teeth trying to find out anything additional. After several questions, I found out it's not a buffet and it's a la carte and does not include room service. However, after tommorow I plan to get take away. Don't want to be eating inside.
The one poster who said this was the worse hotel he's stayed off has a major point. It in no way reminds me of a Marriott. My room is dingy and smells like smoke. Something you would find at a Howard Johnsons. However, the lobby and outdoor pool and patio areas are very nice.
The bellhop should be on the front desk, because he seems to know everything. The staff appears like they don't want to even work there. I'm only here trying to accumulate 6 more nights to retain Platinium.
They have room service, housekeeping, pool is open, restaurants are open including an evening buffet. People are still required to wear masks and social distance.
Now I need to find out if water is complimentary.
