I don't think that there will be any probs with the Visa Debit card. I have used them for years for renting from Hertz; As far as Hertz processing goes, they work exactly the same way, they can take pre-authorisations, run charges et al. Visa Debit cards are well ahead of other debit cards. ( exception being Visa Electron cards being a poorly subclass )
