Back around 2002 during the height of the "no tools!" mumbo jumbo, I took a 110v corded power drill in my carry on. No bits or drivers, just the drill. Was told tools aren't allowed. Even if I could have powered it (the plane I was on had no power ports), I'm not sure what I'd have been able to do with it, having no bits of drivers. lol
