Blue Business Plus: 3 yrs old, avg $25,000/yr, no prior retention offer (no annual fee, never thought to ask until I read on this thread of others with offers for this card): called last week, 5,000 points for authorized user from first phone rep (? ongoing standard offer), $50 statement credit now and $100 credit for $2,000 in 3 months or 5,000 MR points now and 5,000 MR points for $3,000 in 3 months from retention dept rep
Delta Platinum Business: 2 months old, $200 over minimum spend met on first statement: retention dept rep last week was so nice I asked him, 10,000 miles for $5,000 in 6 months
Retention rep last week told me once a specific offer is accepted, that’s it for 12 months, can’t meet the offer requirements in 2-3 months and then call for another in 4 or 6 or 8 months. I asked (prior to asking about offers for a 2 month old account) and he said calling to ask about retention offers is not considered “gaming” and does not result in increased account or customer attention.
