Interesting. Did SIA give a reason? Did all PEY in the back not work out economically?
As I understand the A359-ULR had reduced seating due to weight and modified fuel tank to fly that long. However, you can also fly with the regular A359 if you reduce the weight.
Guess the bean counters at SQ figured out with the projected low passenger demand and cargo weight they can use A359 instead.
