I've never dealt with MEX but judging from the many posts here they are not being helpful. If they cancel, which seems likely, they have reportedly been denying refunds and offering only credits. If they cancel they may (only may) allow you to change dates at no cost. There have been reports of them requiring passengers to pay extra for rescheduling cancelled flights. Since the flight is from Europe they may honor EU regulations for compensation, although I understand that at least some EU regulations in that regard may have been waived for at least some airlines. In the US they have apparently defied US regulations with regard to cancellation re-accommodation/refunds.

I'm not expert but I think your best approach would be to wait for MEX to cancel the flight and see what develops. As a precaution you may want to book an alternate flight with a different carrier and/or look into travel insurance, but If you don't already have travel insurance I'm not sure what availability is under the current conditions.

You might, if your haven't already, read through the threads here to see what they have been reported as doing. I'm not sure if there is a European based site that would have better information on their operations there.
