Re flight AM26. I’ve had a ticket AMS -MEX booked for many many (many) months now. Purchased (foolishly) expecting covid restrictions to be a thing of the past by January 2021 which is when I’m due to fly. My flight is scheduled to leave on a Thursday however, the current Aeromexico reduction of 3 flights per week for AM26 does not include Thursday. Basically my Thursday flight hasn’t flown out of Amsterdam since restrictions began, and I’m not confident that restrictions will be lifted in time for my flight on the 14th Jan. Currently my flight is showing as confirmed and on schedule but I’m bracing for the inevitable cancellation notification. . Does anyone have any inside info if there is a schedule review on the horizon?

In order to avoid a last minute cancellation notification and a scramble to find alternative flights. I want to change flights now to one of the 3 days when the flight does currently leave AMS. Is this wise, could the days move (they haven’t for a very long time)? Aeromexico wanted £300 to do this as there is now a price differential to fly on this days.

Any advice appreciated.
