I'm not sure if your reference to the extra 10 J seats means you think this might improve upgrade opportunities, but I think the opposite is true. Based on my recent experience (AC1228 yesterday, for example), when the schedule shows
333, it really means:
"762/763 -- except in the rare event when we happen to have a serviceable A330 on hand
Despite this, AC still books for A330 capacity and then the GAs have to deal with more J pax than there are seats.
