UAL is doing something for all people that cross over to 1K territory. However, they are signifying a difference for the people that pay higher fares with additional benefits. I cannot see where this is a bad thing. While I would definitely show appreciation for all 1Ks, I would certainly offer additional benefits for those who spent a higher revenue total than those who made 1K for low to mid 4 figures. There are 1Ks that spend in excess of $30K annually due to business patterns. Is it fair to offer the same benefits for those making a dramatic financial contribution year in and year out? I think that UA is doing the right thing here and certainly support the
UGS program as well.
