I could have used this feature at hyatt regency atlanta where they upgraded night 1 (cat 1 to 4 cert) and then advised me i would have to change rooms on nights 2-3 or pay $15 a night to upgrade but not keep the room i booked all 3 nights. Additionally they also tried to charge me for the bottled water and internet which lowly discoverists are entitled to 😠.
Yeah, I guess that’s definitely a benefit to booking it through Pay My Way, it’s a great under appreciated tool.
I know a lot of properties are now including “daily waters” in their “resort/destination fees” lessening Elite Benefits. I guess that’s one thing I really dislike about Hilton is Elites only get Free Waters on the day of check in, whereas Hyatt even Discoverists get it daily.
Some properties even distinguish Globalists by giving them the Huge Voss waters whereas everyone else only gets the cheap bottled ones. (HC Magnificent Mile for one). Other properties put them in the rooms already for you, and some properties cheap out completely by giving you metallic tasting canned water (HC Park City).
