I searched but haven't found anything with the same query as me. Thanks to Covid I've only ended up with 7 hotel stays this year and no chance of making the remaining 8 required to retain Gold status next year. I am normally in excess of 60-nights and actually benefit quite well from the Gold status so will miss it once I start travelling again (hoping there may some normality next year!).

Hotels.com extended vouchers but will Expedia be doing nothing regarding status extension? Given they're the same company it seems a shame, or do such a large number of people reach Gold that they're using it as an opportunity to reduce members? Anyone any insight or had any success in getting an extension granted?
