Ah, OK: something like the Lufthansa approach to rebooking.
Sadly my rebooking there failed because of the 12-month validity of my ticket - bought in January2020 for (airline-cancelled) travel in August2020. The theory is I could rebook up to December2021, except that Lufthansa refuse to revalidate the ticket beyond its January2021 expiry.
The soution they offer id to get a refund and by a new ticket.... at twice the price
Is BA finding a way around that problem?
