I *was* almost done transition from UA to OZ. Now what?
(1) What is your home airport? LAS, but can easily get to LAX or SFO
(2) What types of fares do you usually buy ? Economy - and cheap economy (K, L, etc.)
(3) How many miles do you usually fly each year? 75k-100k
(4) Do you have any kind of status at present? What is it? UA Platinum Premier, OZ Gold (almost Diamond)
(5) What is most important to you in a FFP? Star Gold status (lounge, extra bag, priority boarding)
(6) Which routes do you fly most often? LAS/LAX/SFO to TYO (x2/year) HKG (x2/year) CPT or JNB (1-2x/year), and somewhere else in Asia and somewhere in Europe 1x/year
(7) Preferred Airlines - UA, NH, OZ, Lufthansa Group
(8) Do you travel for work or pleasure? Only pleasure; I have a work schedule that allows me to take a week off easily, so I’ll frequently make a quick trip to Asia for 5/6 nights, etc.
I was in the middle of transitioning from UA to OZ; now that the OZ-KE merger has been announced, it looks like OZ won’t be part of Star Alliance for much longer, so I need to reset my reset.
I generally don’t fly to/through ATH so A3 would be a challenge for me.
