Just FYI for all those who are thinking about transferring points from amex to Etihad. I spent a week trying to do it to no avail (both sides kept blaming each other, amex said Etihad service was returning "Unavailable" but Etihad said it was available).

In any case, hopefully others aren't having the same issue! I ended up wasting the better part of the week talking to Etihad and Amex because my flight was imminent. I ended up having to book a different last minute flight : /
