I’ve been relatively surprised by how many maintenance issues AA seems to have on its 777 fleet, especially the 77Ws which aren’t really very old. Seems that every 777 I fly on has maintenance personnel on board before departure.
AA has had serious disputes with their mechanics union so I'm not really surprised. I think one mechanic even went to prison for intentionally breaking an instrument.
