When the Ibiza leg cancelled BA said no problem to start in London and the agent said this was standard policy not a special Covid policy. You could also start from another airport within 300miles of DUS.

But you do need to wait for the outbound DUS leg to cancel.
Awesome, that's great to hear! Yea, I'd rather DUS didn't get cancelled - I do actually have a home there and I'm not trying to talk around having booked an ex-EU deal
