Flying in/out of Merida in December. As part of the trip, I'll be going to PDC to a friend's condo. For social distancing purposes, it seems that renting a car for the round trip between Merida and PDC is best (I've successfully used the ADO bus in the past).

Any hints on car rentals? Anything that I should be aware of? Any recommendations in terms of insurance coverages?

Also, if I recall correctly, the road between Merida and PDC is a toll road. Does anyone have any idea how much the tolls are as I like to limit my cash carrying?

FWIW, I'll be parking off street in PDC and will not be using the car there.
