I've been spending +/- 15K/mo between personal and business for years and have been happy with the basic Chase Sapphire cards for the most part. Due to some life changes, I find myself traveling a lot so about a year ago I got the CSR and am very pleased. I looked into other cards and couldn't find anything that came close to meeting my needs.
$600 year annual fee is immediately dropped to $300 with travel credit. Priority Pass membership is a HUGE bonus. Basically, free food and drinks in airports. The 1.5X kicker on points redeemed for travel within the Chase travel portal (essentially Expedia) is another HUGE bonus. Plus, I can transfer points from my business card (and the fuel and telecommunication category 2X and 5X bonuses) to my CSR for 3X (fuel) and 7.5% (cable/internet, cell phone, office supply stores) on personal leisure/travel. For me this works out to some large amounts of points.
Of course, everyone's traveling/spending patterns and needs are different but for the way I roll the CSR is amazing.
