I would have rated it the equivalent of Air France international service (which we have also flown on from LAX-PPT). I had heard Air Tahiti Nui did not have the best of service, and at the time they were still flying their "worn out" A340s. Perhaps its gotten better.
At the end of the day, the French Bee flight was considerably cheaper. If Air Tahiti Nui had been even close to the price (on a AA codeshare), I would have flown it instead.
Did you fly PE or regular Y on French Bee? The new TN PE is pretty decent with leg rests and TN has a brand-new, all-Dreamliner fleet now.
