Happy to help, though if you read some of the cent threads a lot of answers there - comments below:

I’d appreciate if any centurion card members could chime in with their insights. Depends which country and personal/business, but i can respond uk personal (no others exist in uk, us has personal/business/corporate and europe also has idc cards).
  1. did you ever cancel an amex card prior to receiving the invitation? No
  2. did you ever ask for a retention offer prior to receiving the invitation? No
  3. did you ever have a financial review prior to receiving the invitation? Standard credit check was done (uk) which i believe always happens when [credit] cards are issued. The only reason i'm aware of it was an error in one document that mixed it up.
  4. did you get a centurion invitation without/before having the plat? No
  5. based on your experience, do you believe having a co-branded plat vs a vanilla plat affects the likelihood of receiving an invitation? Probably vanilla is better path, though there are some stories of having any personal branded amex working but seem to be the exception rather than the rule
  6. based on your experience receiving the invitation, do you believe hitting the spending requirement factored only 1 card hitting the threshold (say plat) or all of your accounts cumulatively hitting the threshold? For me only uk plat, and the plat is the primary card that matters. Others have suggested cross-spend helped.
  7. have you maintained the spend from when you got the invitation and based on your experience, do you believe they care if you maintain the same spend after receiving the centurion? Increased but naturally not because of the card. Once you have it you have it, can spend zero if you want so long as pay annual fee. At one point there were different unannounced tiers (maybe still today) based on spend levels.
  8. 1st-edit: When did you receive your centurion invitation? 10+ years ago
  9. 1st-edit: Do you have the personal or business centurion (or both)? Personal (uk)
and just out of curiosity, not eligibility:

If you had to pick only 1 reason why you keep the card, is it flex value, financial value, quality of life, or something else (please explain if you don’t mind)? Normally travel a lot and avail of the account manager, upgrades and other special offers and loyalty cards etc. Not sure which of your buckets that falls into - quality of life?

1st-edit: What do you do for a living? Can be as few words as you like or a “prefer not to answer”. Own business - investing
