That is how I keep my Amex MS alive. Nothing beets the 4X MR at supermarkets. That is 2,000 MR for every $6.39 in fees. ($5.95 + $0.44 for half the MO fee). The CSR might be only 3X UR by Chase, but good to keep me busy too, at $1,000 Cap a month for the next 6 months. Not a high volume player here, but constant and without a problem at my Middle of nowhere mid west Wallys since Kate existed. And that is considering I haven't used my Amex OBC since the New Rose Gold came out.
Simon is just a float game with 0% APRs that will get you 1,500 UR points per $4.83 in fees. Other than that, I will just stay in the sidelines watching the heavy hitters and whales work around the new $400 limit.
totally agree. Amex gold with 4x (7x with 3 for 1 these days) at grocery is best for me. Slow and steady. Same setup, rural location, one place to buy and one place to liquidate. 500 increments at a time. Requires little actual time to do so since on my way to work.
