If you look at the Wiki attached to this thread, you will see the requirements are for the test to be conducted within 72 hours of the departure of your final leg of your flight. It is even in bold print.
So, if you are flying SEA-SFO-HNL, your test must be within 72 hours of the
scheduled departure from SFO.
