James - I got the same RBS/AA offer for 1500 +5000 - and applied for the card - it came back approved but with blurb saying only 1500 after first use - I will follow it up and see what response I get from AA/RBS on this, as I feel short changed.

I'll follow up on AmEx UK also, thanks for the tip as I just transferred by Plat account from HK to the UK.. and got zilch!
