When I pay my Amex or Chase bills on line, they take the payment the day I make it. B of A waits until the due date, even if I authorize payment before then. It just makes me nervous that they wait that long, I prefer to have everything "cleaned up" each month a bit early in case there are any problems.

Is there something I'm missing how to get my payments credited right away?
