Yeah, about that ... I had to be in the Vegas Northern suburbs recently for work, and decided to pop down to one of the Fremont St. area casinos. I saw a lot- more than I'd expected- of old, fat, unhealthy people, many with ambulatory problems (canes, walkers) and even a few on
Oxygen, FFS. These are the people square in the bulls-eye of the CV death curve, and here they are hanging out in Vegas.
Maybe instead of calling people who aren't likely to die because they know they're outside the death curves and are loath to accept these restrictive measures "selfish", we call the people who
are more likely to die but can't stay home, yet expect everyone to try and "save" them the selfish ones?
